VCU Health in downtown Richmond is seeking a Radiology Reading Room Assistant to support radiologists with administrative tasks, triage requests, and patient record management in a busy reading room. This on-site role requires strong communication and organization.
You will handle phone calls, emails, workflow management, and liaison with clinicians, enabling radiologists to focus on clinical duties. Some weekends may rotate; standard shifts are 8:00AM–4:30PM or 9:30AM–6:00PM, Monday through
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00AM - 4:30PM or 9:30a-6pm Monday-Friday. Possibility of rotating weekends. Fully on-site role at downtown VCUHS main hospital location.
Radiology Reading Room Assistant supports the daily operations of the radiologist reading room by handling administrative and communication tasks, including answering phones, managing emails, triaging requests, and maintaining patient records.
Key responsibilities include acting as a communication hub between radiologists and other healthcare professionals, assisting with workflow to allow radiologists to focus on clinical functions, and ensuring a smooth and organized reading room environment.

Minimum Qualifications Years and Type of Required Experience: Minimum 3-5 years equivalent experience in a healthcare setting or in Radiology. Strong communication, attention to detail, and ability to work in high‑pressure, fast‑paced environments required.
Years and Type of Preferred Experience: Experience in EPIC and PACS systems.
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Previous experience with Microsoft Office applications and e‑mail/calendaring. Performs administrative/clerical duties independently and without direct supervision.

Compensation Range $16.08 - $24.12 Actual salary offers will be based on several key factors to include relevant work experience, credentials, and qualifications.
