Job summary

Tampa General Hospital is seeking a Patient Services Representative II for the Imaging Northcliffe location in Spring Hill, TN. The role focuses on greeting, registering, and checking in patients for radiologic procedures while maintaining high service standards.

The PSR II also handles daily deposits, supports onboarding of new staff, and assists with scheduling, patient flow, and documentation in the imaging setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year work experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
• Knowledge of customer service concepts and company policies including safety, privacy and HIPAA.
• Proficiency in patient check-in, insurance verification, referrals, authorizations, and documentation requirements in a medical or imaging setting.

Responsibilities

• Greet, check in, and register patients for radiologic procedures in a polite, prompt, and professional manner.
• Verify documentation such as prescriptions, referrals, authorizations, insurance cards, and photo ID.
• Ensure exam preparation compliance and communicate issues to clinical staff.
• Contact physician offices to obtain missing prescriptions, referrals, or authorizations.
• Scan, upload, and maintain documentation in the patient’s electronic record accurately.
• Update demographic, insurance, and clinical information for returning patients.
• Collect time-of-service payments, issue receipts, and perform deposit reconciliation as assigned.
• Provide forms, explain processes, and obtain patient signatures per policy and regulatory standards.
• Assist with onboarding and training of new PSRs; serve as workflow resource.
• Support daily operations by answering phones, scheduling/rescheduling, escorting patients, and other duties.
