Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a patient-focused radiology support technician to assist with exam preparation and patient transport. You will operate radiology systems for requisitions, keep exam rooms stocked, and coordinate with physicians and technologists to ensure smooth workflow.

The role requires a GED or equivalent, BLS certification on hire, and strong communication and organizational skills. 3x12s schedule may apply, with full benefits eligibility.

Qualifications

• GED or High School Diploma as required.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification required on hire.
• Strong communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exam prep and provide basic instructions; transport and escort as needed.
• Use radiology systems to generate requisitions and check schedules.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Greet patients, answer calls, schedule appointments, and manage messages.
• Coordinate between physicians, radiologists, and technologists.
• Document observations and communicate needs to the health care team.
• Participate in routine maintenance and QA of imaging equipment.
