Job summary

Advocate Health’s radiology transport role involves assisting with patient movement, coordinating with radiologists and staff, and ensuring smooth patient flow within the facility. You will support daily operations and transport patients to imaging and other departments.

The position requires ARRT-recognized education and registry eligibility, with BLS certification. Strong communication and physical stamina are essential for this role at the Cleveland Imaging site.

Qualifications

• Education: ARRT-recognized Radiologic Technology program
• Certification: registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire; BLS required
• Proficient in handling patients and providing care under supervision

Responsibilities

• Escort patients, guests, and visitors to destinations.
• Know and use hospital paging system.
• Operate hospital telephone system for transport orders and status.
• Assist nursing and clinical staff with patient transfers.
• Transport admissions and provide room orientation.
• Give directions to guests and patients’ families.
• Verify outpatient registrations and transport to proper departments.
