Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a full-time Radiology Technician at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - CT. You will assist patients during exams, prepare rooms, transport and escort, and operate radiology systems for requisitions and data retrieval.

The role requires BLS, a GED/HSED or high school diploma, and strong communication and organizational skills. 36 hours weekly with 3x12s Fri-Sun, 6:30a–7:00pm; offers comprehensive benefits and ongoing learning.

Qualifications

• IV insertion and venipuncture Qualifications required as needed.
• Excellent communication with patients, staff and physicians.
• Strong customer service and organizational skills.
• Intermediate computer skills including email and radiology systems.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently with teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in exam prep and provide basic procedure guidance.
• Use radiology systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, obtain data.
• Organize exam rooms and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Greet patients, respond to requests, schedule appointments as needed.
• Act as liaison between ordering physician, radiologist, and technologist.
• Provide radiology reports/images to staff, physicians, patients, or family.
• Document information and communicate observations to the team.
• Perform routine maintenance and quality checks on imaging equipment.
• Assist with MRI implant screening as required by department.
• Ensure age-appropriate care and adherence to department policies.
