Job summary

Signature Healthcare in Brockton, MA is seeking a Radiology Patient Access Representative for full-time daytime hours (Mon-Fri, 8:00 am–4:30 pm) in the radiology department. You will register patients, schedule imaging and other procedures, and assist with payer prior-authorization checks.

The role requires at least 1 year of medical or customer service experience; radiology experience is preferred and knowledge of Medical Terminology is helpful.

Full Time 40 Hours only , Days 1st Shift , Mon-Fri 8am-430pm

The radiology patient access rep performs a wide variety of detail oriented duties in the process of arriving and registering patients in the radiology dept. May be called upon to schedule patient appointments. Uses independent judgment, ingenuity and is self-motivated. The duties require knowledge of procedures and policies related to the Radiology Department and functions as a team player. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment and demonstrate the ability to prioritize multiple competing tasks and demands. Must haveexcellent customer service skills with both internal and external customers. Schedules appointments for imaging and other procedures as assigned. Checks for payers’ prior-authorization requirements, validates active coverage. Manages incoming phone calls in a positive professional manner.

• 1 year experience in medical or customer service working environment, radiology experience preferred.
