Hmixray in Annapolis, MD is seeking a Patient Service Representative to greet patients, verify insurance information, collect co-pays, and schedule appointments in a fast-paced radiology setting. You will support front-desk operations with documentation accuracy and patient privacy.

The role emphasizes delivering world-class customer service, coordinating with back-office staff, and maintaining professional standards in patient interactions while protecting patient health information.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with patients and staff.
• Experience delivering outstanding customer service in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Familiarity with medical terminology is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Greet and register patients in a friendly, service-oriented manner.
• Verify insurance and patient information, collect signatures and ensure documentation is complete.
• Collect co-pays and fees and log payments.
• Answer and transfer incoming calls; schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments.
• Provide patients with orientation for prep and safety protocols; direct to facilities as needed.
• Coordinate with back-office staff to ensure timely patient care and updates.

When you join us as a Patient Service Representative, you will be joining a dedicated team of professionals who deliver quality, value, and access in the 21st century and align all stakeholders- patients, providers, payors, and regulators to achieve the best clinical outcomes.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 10:30am-7:00pm

You Will:

• Greet and register patients in a friendly and service-oriented manner.
• Obtain or verify proper insurance and patient information, collect signatures and ensure accuracy and completion of necessary documentation.
• Collect and log all co-pays and fees
• Answer/transfer incoming phone calls.
• Schedule, reschedule or cancel new or current patients, confirm appointments and notify staff of changes when necessary.
• Give patients appropriate orientation for preparatory and safety protocols, and provide directions to facilities if needed.
• Coordinate with the back-office staff for timely and effective care of patients
• Demonstrates competency regarding the need to safeguard patient property and Patient Health Information.
• Safeguards any on site medications in accordance with Company policies, procedures and any legal requirements.
• Demonstrates respect for company property, including any cash and patient financial information on site or on patient portals.
• Is responsive to the needs of others by exhibiting and maintaining professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Demonstrates respect for patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities during all interactions.
• Demonstrates ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with patients, their families, and the public in a clinical setting.
• Demonstrates ability to establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.

To Ensure Success In This Role, You Must Have:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Intermediate to advanced computer skills
• Strong multitasking and communication skills
• Experience providing exceptional customer service
• Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office experience is preferred.

Pay Range: $18.00 - $23.00 / Hourly
