Kansas Health System's Bell Hospital is seeking an Electronic Image Technician to support image-related functions in the Radiology Imaging Center across locations. The role handles electronic folders, PACS and EMR data, and ensures timely delivery of imaging to physicians and patients.

The position requires a High School Diploma with preferred Associate degree or 30 college hours and basic computer skills. Strong HIPAA compliance and collaboration with radiologists and staff are essential.

Competenze

Mansioni

• Retrieves and creates patients' electronic folders and radiology jackets.
• Accesses reports and patient data via Novius, SMS, Epic, PACS and related software.
• Uses Microsoft Access Database to track radiology projects and patient requests.
• Prints and packages images via PACS film or CD for distribution to patients and outside physicians.
• Maintains patient information in EMR and ensures release information is entered correctly.
• Troubleshoots hardware/software deficiencies in the Radiology Imaging Center (RIC).
• Provides PACS web support for viewing/manipulating images for conferences and surgery.
• Assists radiologists and staff as a resource for timely use of services in electronic and manual modalities.
• Maintains department storage and image media, and follows record retention policies.
• Creates patient records in EMR and new orders in EPIC for outside film entry.
• Purges/ scans images as per retention policy and manages external film entries.
