Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System seeks an Electronic Image Technician to assist customers with image-related functions in the Radiology Imaging Center across locations. You will handle electronic folders, PACS, EMR, and image delivery while complying with HIPAA and quality standards.

Responsibilities include data entry, image processing for conferences and surgery, and providing support to radiologists and staff with timely access to images and records.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• High School Diploma required.
• Associates Degree and/or 30 hours of basic college work preferred.

Responsibilities

• Retrieves and/or creates patients’ electronic folders and radiology jackets. Accesses reports and data via EMR, PACS, SMS, Epic.
• Prints and packages images for distribution to patients and outside physicians.
• Troubleshoots hardware/software issues to meet turnaround times for exams.
• Maintains patient confidentiality and HIPAA compliance in all tasks.
• Creates patient records in EMR and enters orders in EPIC for outside film entry.
