Job summary

Kansas Health System is seeking a Radiology Assistant to support radiology technologists in imaging procedures, assist with patient transfer, and coordinate information between nursing staff and radiology teams.

You will access data in EMR, PACS, and O2, prepare imaging rooms, and ensure patient comfort and safety. A High School Diploma and BLS certification are required, with clinical experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate (GED not required for Radiology Assistants hired prior to February 2026)
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) within 14 days of hire
• Ability to use computer systems and retrieve data as needed

Responsibilities

• Assist technologists in patient care for imaging before and after testing.
• Provide constant patient observation and report changes in status to the team.
• Transport patients to and from the radiology department and ensure their comfort.
• Enter information into O2 and access reports via EMR, PACS, and the Cloud.
• Prepare imaging rooms for exams and maintain room turnover efficiently.
