Job summary

University of California, Irvine Health is seeking a detail-oriented professional to manage medical images within the radiology workflow. You will upload external images into PACS, prepare them for release to patients and physicians, and distribute radiology reports as needed.

The role also involves supporting procedure coding, providing phone assistance to the department, greeting patients at radiology desks, and processing radiology orders to maintain smooth operations in a fast-paced clinical

Qualifications

• Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime as assigned.
• Must be highly organized and able to prioritize a demanding workload.
• Medical terminology.
• Basic knowledge and experience with Desktop computing (PC).

Responsibilities

• Oversees management of medical images across the radiology workflow.
• Uploads images from outside UCI Health into PACS and prepares images for release.
• Provides computer support related to confirming procedures and assigning procedure coding.
• Distributes radiology reports as necessary; greets patients at radiology desks and processes orders.
