Job summary

UC Irvine Health is seeking an Image Management role responsible for handling medical images in the PACS system and coordinating with external vendors for subpoenas and copies. You will work closely with RIS and clinical staff to ensure accurate image retrieval and record-keeping.

The role requires experience with radiology systems, strong English communication, and the ability to manage a demanding workload with flexibility for weekends and overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience with radiology information systems is required.
• Experience with Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) is required.
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overtime.
• Highly organized with ability to manage a demanding workload.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience using hospital computer systems and software.

Responsibilities

• Manage medical images (hardcopy and digital) in the PACS system.
• Handle subpoenas and coordinate image copy services with external vendors.
• Collaborate with Risk Management for patient file audits and legal files review.
• Merge duplicate MRNs and manage RIS/PACS workflow and image retrieval.
