Job summary

UCI Health in Orange, CA seeks a Medical Imaging Clerk responsible for the overall management of medical images. You will upload images into PACS, prepare them for release to patients, physicians and outside facilities, and handle related imaging workflow tasks.

You will provide phone support, assist with procedure coding, greet patients at radiology reception desks, and process orders for radiological procedures as needed. Attention to detail and strong organization are essential.

Qualifications

• Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime as assigned.
• Must be highly organized and able to prioritize a demanding workload.
• Medical terminology.
• Basic knowledge and experience with Desktop computing (PC).

Responsibilities

• Manage overall medical images workflow in PACS.
• Upload external images into PACS and prepare images for release.
• Provide computer support related to confirming procedures and assign procedure coding.
• Answer phones and support department operations.
• Greet patients at radiology reception and process radiology orders.
