Job summary

UCI Health, a major academic health system in California, is seeking an administrative professional to oversee medical image management, PACS preparation, and report distribution. The role includes assisting patients at radiology reception and handling procedure orders.

Ideal candidates will have strong English communication, be highly organized, and proficient with basic PC tasks. Flexibility to work weekends/holidays/overtime is required.

Qualifications

• Must possess effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime as assigned.
• Must be highly organized and able to prioritize a demanding workload.
• Medical terminology.
• Basic knowledge and experience with Desktop computing (PC).

Responsibilities

• Manage and upload medical images into PACS from outside UCI Health.
• Prepare images for release to patients, physicians, and outside facilities.
• Provide phone support related to confirming procedures and distributing radiology reports.
• Greet patients at radiology reception desks and process orders for radiological procedures.
