Job summary

Ochsner Health in Covington, LA, is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform radiographic procedures in clinic and OR settings, mentor junior staff, and ensure patient safety. Qualifications

• Completion of an approved radiologic technology program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or registry eligible, must be registered within 90 days of employment.
• Current unrestricted license in the state of practice.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure for accuracy.
• Operates radiology equipment to complete imaging according to protocol.
• Explains procedures to patients to ensure understanding.
• Reviews images for diagnostic quality before transmission.
• Performs routine quality control procedures per regulatory standards.
