Job summary

Ochsner Medical Center – Kenner is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform imaging procedures and mentor junior staff. The role supports patient care with emphasis on safety, accuracy, and quality control in a fast-paced radiology department.

The position offers three 12-hour shifts with rotating weekends; days or nights available. Requires ARRT certification or registry eligibility, and BLS. Relocation assistance and a $20,000 sign-on bonus are available.

Qualifications

• Must have computer skills for data entry and retrieval of information.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Proficiency with Windows and role-specific software.
• Strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Verifies physician order and procedure to assure accuracy.
• Operates radiology equipment to complete imaging per protocol.
• Explains procedure to patient to ensure understanding.
• Reviews patient images for diagnostic quality and performs quality control.
• Assists in department operations (inventory, staff schedules, equipment maintenance).
