Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's OptumCare unit seeks an Imaging Records Clerk in Everett, WA to manage patient imaging requests and ensure timely HIPAA-compliant handling. Responsibilities include loading images to PACS, burning CDs, and interfacing with EPIC for release of information and continuity of care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent spelling, grammar and punctuation for patient information.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload.
• Demonstrated ability to maintain efficient workflow in Data Management areas of Radiology.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to interact with patients, staff and the public.
• Comfort with general computer use and imaging equipment (CD burning, scanning, faxing).
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions clearly.

Responsibilities

• Fulfills imaging records requests for patients, external facilities and HIM Legal desk.
• Prepares imaging records for pickup, mail, or electronic transfer, and fax reports as requested.
• Pushes and receives images electronically to/from external facilities via PACS.
• Prepares Release of Information forms for CD pickups.
• Enters Release into Epic for image/report requests.
• Loads images from CDs and digitizes analog film to TEC patient record in PACS.
• Enters prior mammography data into mammography reporting system.
• Maintains storage of pediatric films and coordinates with PACS/RIS staff for addendums.
• Adheres to HIPAA and maintains patient confidentiality.
