Job summary

Cedar Hill Regional Medical Center in Washington, DC seeks a Manager of Radiology to lead the department, with 24/7 accountability for operational management and strategic planning. The role collaborates with the Director to set goals, ensure compliance, and optimize imaging services across clinical, administrative, and educational facets.

The Manager will supervise staff, manage payroll and records, coordinate RMS updates, and work with Financial Services to refine codes and workflows,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Completion of AMA-sponsored School of Radiologic Technology.
• Experience in radiology leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee development of long- and short-range goals for the department in line with hospital objectives.
• Establish action plans and monitor results with regular follow-up.
• Educate staff on regulatory compliance and address deficiencies.
• Mentor new unit leaders and provide performance feedback.
• Ensure staff competency and licensure status where applicable.
• Integrate clinical, service, administrative, and educational aspects of the department.
• Oversee payroll and maintain accurate staff records.
• Coordinate with hospital Financial Services and RMS to update procedure codes.
