Job summary

Atlantic Health Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ is seeking a Radiology Assistant to perform patient assessments, manage examinations under supervision of a Radiologist, respond to questions, and provide clerical support. You will support various imaging procedures, ensure prescriptions are accurate before exams, and assist with film library and documentation.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, BLS certification, and familiarity with radiology terminology; CMA or Radiology

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
0-3 years of experience as a Radiology Assistant or related patient-care role.
American Heart Association BLS Certification.
Familiarity with radiology and medical terminology; basic computer skills.
Certified Medical Assistant or current enrollment in a Radiology Technologist program.

Responsibilities

Generate preliminary image report evaluations, interventional studies, and bone density exams under the Radiologist.
Obtain and review accuracy of patients' prescriptions prior to exams.
Provide courteous and professional fluoroscopy procedures to patients.
Complete all paperwork associated with technical procedures.
Respond to physician questions about procedures and patient needs.
Transport patients safely within the hospital for diagnostic testing.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
