Job summary

The University of Kansas Health System is seeking a Radiology Assistant for Weekend Nights to support radiology technologists in imaging procedures. This full-time role runs Fri–Sun 7:00 PM–6:30 AM, with responsibilities including transport, patient observation, and assisting with pre/post-imaging activities at Cambridge Tower A.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (not required for Radiology Assistants hired prior to February 2026).
• BLS certification (American Heart Association) within 14 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiology technologists in patient care before and after imaging.
• Transport patients to and from radiology department.
• Maintain patient observation and report changes to care staff.
• Enter information into EMR/PACS/O2 systems to assist staff.
• Prepare imaging rooms for exams and ensure timely room turnover.
