UnitedHealth Group in Chelmsford, MA is seeking a Radiology Patient Services Associate to deliver excellent front‑line support for patients, clinicians, and technologists. You will answer calls, schedule and manage appointments, and coordinate follow‑ups while ensuring accurate patient information and smooth workflow.

Responsibilities include verifying insurance, processing referrals, and providing outreach for reminders, with a focus on patient experience and HIPAA privacy compliance.

Formación

• High School Diploma/GED
• 6+ months of customer service or healthcare experience
• Basic level of proficiency with computer applications

Responsabilidades

• Helps manage patient flow, access, and scheduling for technologists to optimize patient appointment availability.
• Schedules appointments for patients optimizing patient appointment availability
• Assists patients with referral processing and communication with other departments
• Verifies patient insurance coverage, demographic information, ordering clinicians
• Makes appointment reminder phone calls as needed
• Processes patient requests for copies of images/CD in accordance with policy
• Monitors scheduling requests and schedules accordingly
• Performs other duties as assigned
• Protects patient privacy and PHI compliant with HIPAA guidelines
