Job summary

Optum in Chelmsford, MA is seeking a front-desk Radiology Support role to deliver high-quality patient service. You will answer phones, schedule radiology appointments, verify insurance and demographics, and coordinate referrals with various departments.

Responsibilities include reminders, medical record requests, and maintaining patient flow in a fast-paced clinic while following HIPAA and privacy policies. 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, 9am–5:30pm.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of customer service or healthcare experience.
• Basic level of proficiency with computer applications.
• Experience with radiology/imaging department is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones, schedule and manage radiology appointments with follow-up as needed.
• Verify patient insurance and demographic information; coordinate referrals.
• Make appointment reminder calls and assist with release of imaging data.
• Maintain patient flow, monitor check-in, and notify on urgent add-on exams.
• Maintain PHI confidentiality per HIPAA and privacy policies.
