Job summary

You will help with scheduling, insurance authorizations, and documentation while ensuring equipment sterility and safeguarding patient data. The role emphasizes professional behavior and compassionate patient service.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma.
• 1 year of previous medical office experience and intermediate computer skills.
• Medical terminology knowledge and recent medical/radiology office work experience is preferred.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Greet and register patients, collect copays, and verify information; notify arrivals and reschedule as needed.
• Obtain insurance authorizations and patient information; collect signatures and complete documentation.
• Schedule, reschedule, or cancel appointments and notify staff of changes.
• Sterilize equipment and tools in each department before exams.
• Assist technologists with patients.
• Safeguard patient property and Health Information.
• Safeguard medications on site per company policies and legal requirements.
• Protect cash and patient data on site or portals.
• Maintain professional behavior toward patients and coworkers.
• Respect patient boundaries and cultural sensitivities.
• Interact diplomatically with patients, families, and the public.
• Establish, nurture, and maintain cooperative working relationships.
