Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a radiology receptionist for Brigham and Women’s Faulkner Radiology Department. The role greets patients, checks in arrivals, and updates exam information in Epic while coordinating with radiology staff to minimize delays and maintain patient flow.

Responsibilities include handling calls, transferring requests, and ensuring patient safety with fall risk forms. The position is onsite in Boston with a 40-hour workweek and daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent required
• Experience with hospital IT scheduling systems preferred
• Knowledge of I CARE standards; ability to multitask; working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Responsibilities

• Greets patients in a friendly, helpful manner following I CARE standards.
• Enters/updates exam information in Epic and other hospital systems.
• Uses hospital devices to facilitate patient throughput.
• Documents patient fall risk forms upon entry to the department.
• Handles calls and transfers messages as needed from outside providers.
• Maintains a clean waiting area by coordinating with Environmental Services.
• Adapts to workflow changes set by supervisor or manager.
• Communicates effectively with staff and patients in writing and verbally.
• Performs other duties to ensure efficient departmental operation and patient care.
