Job summary

CHCP (The College of Health Care Professions), now part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an Externship Coordinator in Houston to develop and maintain externship site partnerships and ensure robust student placement.

You will conduct site visits, track records, coordinate orientations, and support students with resumes and interview preparation while ensuring compliance with state and accreditation standards.

Qualifications

• LMRT program or Radiologic Tech degree with related experience required
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational abilities are essential
• Ability to build professional relationships with clinical partners is required

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain externship site partnerships to optimize student placement
• Ensure 40% of externship students are hired by their externship site
• Conduct regular site visits and maintain communication with site supervisors
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards (TWC, ABHES, etc.)
• Track and organize student records, including timesheets, evaluations, and surveys
• Coordinate externship orientation sessions and serve as liaison between students, faculty, and externship sites
• Support students in professionalism, resume development, and interview preparation
• Collaborate with Career Services to support graduate employment outcomes
• Maintain and update affiliation agreements and documentation in CampusVue Counsel and track students throughout the externship period and conduct final exit reviews
