Job summary

CHCP is seeking an Externship Coordinator for the LMRT program in Houston to secure, monitor, and optimize externship sites for students.

Reporting to the Campus President, the role builds partnerships with medical facilities, oversees documentation and compliance, and supports students with resume, interview prep, and career outcomes; hybrid work with on-site duties and some remote work.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to build external partnerships with clinical sites and medical communities.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience with student tracking or database systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain externship site partnerships to ensure adequate student placement.
• Ensure 40% of externship students are hired by their externship site.
• Conduct regular site visits and maintain communication with site supervisors.
• Maintain compliance with state, federal, and accreditation standards (TWC, ABHES, etc.).
• Track and organize student records, including timesheets, evaluations, and surveys.
• Coordinate externship orientation sessions and serve as liaison between students, faculty, and externship sites.
• Support students in professionalism, resume development, and interview preparation.
• Collaborate with Career Services to support graduate employment outcomes.
• Maintain and update affiliation agreements and ensure documentation in CampusVue.
• Counsel and track students throughout the externship and conduct final exit reviews.
