Job summary

MedQuest Imaging in Irmo, SC is hiring a Radiology Extender (Paramedic) for outpatient imaging. This full-time role supports radiologists and technologists to ensure patient safety, accurate histories, and smooth procedures in a patient-centered environment.

The position requires a paramedic license with CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications, plus 2–5 years of related experience. You will monitor vitals, document patient encounters, and participate in contrast administration under supervision.

Qualifications

• Paramedic license is required.
• CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications required.
• Experience: 2–5 years in radiology support or related field.

Responsibilities

• Assist radiologist and technologist to ensure patient safety and manage history and consent.
• Perform accurate patient histories and monitoring, and maintain encounter logs.
• Discuss procedures with patients when indicated or administering medications or contrast.

What You'll Do

Serve as an assistant to the center’s radiologist (MD) and technologist (R) for the purpose of ensuring patients safety, pre and post contrast administration. Perform accurate patient histories and monitoring. Maintain detailed patient encounter logs to include history and consent documentation. Discuss procedure with patients when indicated or administering medications or contrast.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications:

• Paramedic License
• Must have CPR certification
• Must be ACLS certified
• Must be PALS certified
• Proficient in obtaining patient vitals to include O2Sat, blood pressure, respiratory rate, heart rate (pulse), body temperature
• Complete company approved orientation and contrast reaction training
• Prior Experience:
• 2 –5 years of experience
