Job summary

MedQuest Imaging in Columbia, SC is hiring an MRI Technologist for outpatient imaging. This PRN not-for-full-time role involves preparing patients, positioning for MRI scans, and safely operating MR equipment under radiologist guidance.

Ideal candidates have ARRT radiography and MR certifications, are licensed where required, and bring strong communication and teamwork to a patient-focused imaging team. Epic EMR experience is a plus, and the location offers a supportive, growth-oriented

Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program.
• Certified and registered by ARRT in MR – RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR).
• Applicable state license where required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients and safely operate MRI equipment to obtain diagnostic scans.
• Assist physicians in diagnostic/therapeutic procedures and ensure patient safety during MR imaging.

What You'll Do

The MRI Technologist will assist physicians in the performance of diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and safely operating the MR equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans.

What We’re Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program
• Certified and registered by ARRT in MR – RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR)
• Applicable state license where required

Preferred Qualifications

• Compassionate bedside manner and strong communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals
• Familiarity with Epic electronic medical records (EMR) systems
