Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a Radiology - Cath Lab Tech in Soldotna, AK for a 13-week contract. Requires ARRT/RCIS or exam eligibility, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and at least 2 years of experience in diagnostic/interventional cath lab.

Graduate from an approved radiologic technology program and strong knowledge of cardiac physiology, 12-lead EKG interpretation, and physiologic monitoring are essential. Some weekend shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an approved school of radiologic technology.
• Two years in diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization and interventional radiology lab.
• Demonstrated clinical competence in basic cardiac physiology/pathology, 12-Lead EKG interpretation, and physiologic monitoring.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to physician during diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures.
• Perform scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties during cardiac catheterizations and interventional radiology procedures.
• Use clinical knowledge, technical skills and professional judgment per standards and protocols.
• Assist in holding area and provide pre-, intra-, post-procedural care and patient instruction.
• Prepare and maintain pertinent information related to procedures.
• Note: EPIC system utilized for documentation.

Description:Provides technical support and assistance to the physician during diagnostic and invasive cardiovascular and interventional radiology procedures.Performs scrub and hemodynamic monitoring duties during cardiac catheterizations and interventional radiology procedures.Uses clinical knowledge, technical skills, and professional judgment in accordance with professional and departmental standards and protocols.Assists in the holding area and provides care assessment prior to, during, and post-procedural care and instruction to patients.Prepares and maintains all pertinent information related to procedures.Equipment utilized includes EPIC.Call may be required based on staffing needs.Some weekends may be required as determined by staffing.Regular staff attend a general orientation training.Regular and supplemental staff complete additional department-specific orientation.This role is part of a new service line.
