Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Milwaukee seeks a Radiologic Technology student to support imaging technologists by preparing patients and exam rooms, verifying patient identity, obtaining clinical history, and assisting with transfers as needed.

Under licensed radiographer supervision you will position patients, select exposure factors, and ensure documentation in SmartChart, RIS and PACS aligns with established workflows. Emphasis on safety and infection control.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited program in Radiologic Technology.
• Illinois hires may require second-year clinical training in radiology; refer to program requirements.
• Must have completed at least 12 months of radiology training and be progressing toward ARRT competencies.

Responsibilities

• Assist imaging technologists with patient and exam room preparation, infection control, and equipment readiness.
• Verify patient identification using two identifiers and communicate procedures to patients.
• Assist with patient transfers and transport within the facility.
• Use radiology computer systems to generate requisitions, check schedules, and obtain patient information.
• Review medical records and physician orders to ensure exam accuracy and safety.
