Job summary

Aurora Health Care in Wisconsin seeks a Radiologic Technologist to perform basic to intermediate radiographic procedures and fluoroscopy. The role requires effective patient communication, proper positioning, and accurate image labeling and documentation.

You will work with Radiologists, maintain records in compliance with regulations, and ensure patient safety with proper radiation protection and age-appropriate care.

Qualifications

• Competent in radiology positioning and techniques.
• Knowledge of basic radiation safety and radiology equipment.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and patient service skills.
• Ability to work independently and use computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Competently performs basic and intermediate radiographic procedures including general diagnostic and general fluoroscopic.
• Communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history and address questions.
• Positions patients and selects exposure factors with radiation protection in accordance with methods.
• Identifies patient and labels images, checks requisitions, ensures exam accuracy and billing codes.
• Assists, communicates and consults with Radiologists.
• Prepares and maintains records, enters study data into RIS and documents billing codes.
• Performs positioning and transporting duties requiring lifting and pushing/pulling with proper technique.
• Demonstrates age-appropriate care and applies department policies and procedures.
