Job summary

Salinas Valley Health Medical Center in Salinas, CA, seeks a Scheduling Clerk in Imaging Administration. Under supervision, you will use the PACS system to transmit and print CDs, schedule exams across PT/CT/MRI, and assist with patient preparation.

You will obtain authorizations, enter demographics, verify insurance, coordinate with radiologists and nurses, and register patients for exams. Strong customer service, data accuracy, and Medicare knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Current BLS Healthcare Provider certification per AHA.
• 2–4 years scheduling experience in PT/CT, Angio, CT, US, MRI and x‑ray required.

Responsibilities

• Schedule exams for multiple modalities (PT/CT, CT, MRI, NM, US, Angio, X-ray, Mammo).
• Obtain authorizations and CPT/ICD codes; verify medical necessity for Medicare patients.
• Register patients, collect demographics and insurance information; prepare charts and identification bands.
