Job summary

Salinas Valley Health’s Imaging Administration department is seeking a Tech Assistant II to support radiology scheduling, patient flow, and preparation for interventional procedures. Under supervision, you will use the PACS system to transmit and print imaging studies, register patients, and coordinate with radiologists and nurses.

The role requires a high school diploma, BLS/Healthcare Provider training, and 2–4 years of scheduling experience across PT/CT, Angio, CT, US, MRI, and X-ray.

Qualifications

• Requires high school education or GED.
• Two to four years of recent scheduling experience in PT/CT, Angio, CT, US, MRI, and x-ray.
• Medical terminology knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedules exams with MD office and obtains necessary authorizations.
• Registers and pre-registers patients for PET/CT, MRI, US & CT.
• Obtains and verifies patient demographics and insurance information.
• Enters orders and scheduling data into ITS and Meditech systems.
• Assists with patient flow and coordination with radiology staff.
