Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Sciences or graduate from AMA approved school.
  • ARRT certification and Texas Medical Board licensure to practice radiologic technology.
  • BLS certification by AHA or ARC before first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Review physician orders for accuracy and select appropriate imaging exam.
  • Communicate with radiologists about urgent findings and document changes in EHR.
  • Ensure proper patient identification, labeling, and documentation of images.
  • Maintain radiation safety and ALARA principles during procedures.
  • Perform QC testing and report equipment issues to biomed/engineering.
