Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology.
Certified in Basic or Advanced Life Support, required.
Current license or temporary license by the Texas Medical Board (MRT), required.
Registered Radiology Technologist by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-R), required.
Responsibilities
Perform radiography (x-ray) exams on patients ensuring compliance with all radiation safety procedures.
Prepare patients for exam, obtain and record patients' vital signs, and explain procedure.
Administer IV and contrast when necessary, position patients for the exam.
Perform quality assurance on radiology equipment.
Take emergency call within the department.
Ensure safe care to patients, staff, and visitors; adhere to all policies.
