WellNow Urgent Care in Rockford, IL is seeking a Radiologic Technologist dedicated to excellent patient care. You will operate X-ray equipment, verify patient info, prepare for procedures, and maintain EMR documentation.

Qualifications

• Mastery of best practice x-ray procedures and protocols.
• Understanding of anatomy and physiology necessary for x-ray testing.
• Knowledge of radiology equipment and safety hazards.

Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down all X-Ray equipment.
• Identify patient and confirm ordered examination.
• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and perform x-rays per safety procedures.
• Obtain detailed patient history and note observations.
• Apply radiation protection and shielding materials as needed.
• Ensure equipment functions and report malfunctions to Lead Technologist.
• Document procedures in EMR for billing purposes.
• Obtain pre-authorization for CT scans.
• Confirm exams in PACS and update patient chart.
• Clarify discrepancies with providers.
• Stock and clean the site with the team.
• Participate in quality control and assurance programs.
• Assist with basic medical assisting and occupational medicine tasks as needed.
