Qualifications

• Mastery of best practice x-ray procedures and protocols.
• Anatomy and physiology knowledge for x-ray testing.
• Safety awareness for radiology environments.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Start up and shut down all X-Ray equipment.
• Identify patient and confirm ordered examination.
• Prepare patient and perform radiologic procedures with safety.
• Obtain patient history and document observations during exam.
• Use radiation protection and shielding materials.
• Ensure equipment functioning and report malfunctions.
• Document Radiologic Procedures in EMR and assist billing.
• Obtain pre-authorization for CT scans.
• Confirm exam in PACS and ensure report is in chart.
• Clarify discrepancies with the medical provider.
• Stock and clean site with team members.
• Participate in quality control and assurance.
• Perform basic medical assisting and occupational medicine duties as needed.
