WellNow Urgent Care in Indiana is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to join our growing team. You will start up and operate X-Ray equipment, identify patients, prepare and image exams, and ensure safety protocols are followed.

Qualifications

• Mastery of best practice x-ray procedures and protocols.
• Understanding anatomy and physiology for x-ray testing.
• Knowledge of radiology equipment and safety hazards.
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Good critical thinking abilities.
• Basic computer skills including EMR.

Responsibilities

• Operate and troubleshoot X-Ray equipment start-up and shutdown.
• Identify patient and verify ordered exam.
• Prepare patients and perform radiologic procedures per safety guidelines.
• Obtain patient history and document observations.
• Apply radiation protection and shielding as required.
• Ensure equipment works; report malfunctions to Lead Radiologic Technologist.
• Document radiologic procedures in EMR and code for billing.
• Obtain pre-authorization for CT scans.
• Verify X-Ray exam in PACS and update patient chart.
• Clarify discrepancies in radiology readings with the provider.
• Clean, stock, and participate in quality control.
• Support patient flow with basic medical assisting duties.
