Qualifications

• Must obtain ARRT certification within one year of employment.
• Minimum of two years' experience as a diagnostic radiology technologist.
• A minimum of 4 years' experience within specialty modality in which they are seeking promotion.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment and adjust exposure for proper radiographic images.
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients and ensure safety protocols.
• Position patients and use protective equipment as needed to obtain diagnostic views.
• Assist physician with fluoroscopic procedures and related radiographic tasks.
• Process images and document paperwork for interpretation.
• Provide education and orientation to new technologists and trainees.
