Job summary

UNC Health is seeking a PRN Radiologic Technologist to support six urgent care locations across North Carolina. The role requires flexibility for variable shifts, travel between sites, and on-site work with rotating schedules.

The ideal candidate holds an Associate’s degree in Radiologic Sciences, ARRT certification or eligibility, and BLS. Per Diem status with potential for diverse clinical exposure. No prior experience required.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Sciences or registry eligible and become registered within one year from date of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of General Diagnostic Radiology, adheres to departmental protocols, obtains RT(R) credentials and maintains active status, assists in troubleshooting equipment and protocols.
• Ensures patient demographics, markers, and exams are correct; saves and transmits images to PACS; documents completion in RIS; maintains equipment and reports issues.
• Conducts routine procedures and tests using radiology equipment to acquire patient diagnostic data.
• Performs quality radiographic images consistently; analyzes orders and patient data; reviews schedule and patient status; maintains a safe work environment; reports improvement opportunities.
• Uses RIS, CIS, PACS and SMS to access information and document procedure status; completes exams and transmits data properly to PACS.
