Qualifications

• Associate's degree or completion of an accredited Radiologic Sciences Program.
• ARRT Registry or registry eligible with hire.
• BLS for Healthcare Provider certification.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates knowledge of General Diagnostic Radiology and adheres to UNC Healthcare System protocols.
• Ensures correct patient demographics and examination data, transmits QA-ed images to PACS, and documents procedures in RIS.
• Performs routine radiology procedures and assesses image quality and safety.
• Maintains accurate records, reviews schedules, and ensures a clean, safe work environment.
• Uses RIS, CIS, PACS, and SMS to access information and document status of procedures.
• Verifies patient identity and pregnancy status before ionizing radiation and responds to emergencies.
