Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist for Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC. The role supports GI Diagnostic Fluoroscopy, OR, Ortho, Trauma, Ambulatory Surgery, and PEDS services with a focus on image quality and patient safety.

This full-time position requires ARRT certification (or to obtain within 12 months) and BLS, with Level I–III experience. You will contribute to education and training, and participate in the DUHS clinical ladder across campuses.

Qualifications

• Completion of an AMA approved School of Radiology Technology or ARRT Certification.
• ARRT or ability to obtain within 12 months of employment.
• BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs of designated anatomical areas.
• Explain x-ray procedures to patients.
• Position patients for views using assistance devices and protective equipment.
• Assist physicians with fluoroscopic and special radiographic procedures.
• Process images for quality and match with paperwork.
• Charge radiographic procedures and modify orders per protocol.
• Understand and use the Image Archival System.
• Provide orientation to new technologists.
• Provide education and training to DUHS radiology programs.
• Perform other related duties as needed.
