Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
• Minimum of one year experience performing radiologic exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and explains the procedure in lay terms; ensures consent when required.
• Performs various x-ray exams and positions patients per SOPs, adjusting immobilization devices as needed.
• Monitors patient during procedures and reports adverse signs; operates equipment and logs data.
• Processes and labels exposed images, ensuring correct side labeling and patient data.
• Enters exams in daily logs and follows tracking procedures for each exam.
• Performs related duties as required.
