Job summary

Northwell Health seeks a Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray and auxiliary equipment, prepare patients for exams, and ensure proper documentation and image labeling. Qualified candidates will have graduated from an approved Radiologic Technology program, hold NY/CT licensure, ARRT registration, and at least 1 year of radiologic exam experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT registration.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience performing radiologic exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and explains procedures in layman's terms; ensures consent when required.
• Performs radiologic exams according to standards and SOPs; positions patient and uses immobilization devices as needed.
• Operates x-ray equipment and monitors patient condition; transfers images to film or disc memory; ensures correct labeling and dating.

Education

Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program

Licensure as Radiologic Technologist (New York/Connecticut DOH)

ARRT registration

Minimum 1 year radiologic exam experience
