Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform x-ray exams and operate imaging equipment in accordance with department protocols. You will prepare patients, position them correctly, obtain quality images, document procedures, and ensure safety and quality control throughout the process.

The role requires graduation from an approved Radiologic Technology program, NY or CT licensure, ARRT registration, and at least one year of radiography experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• NY State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• ARRT registration.
• Minimum of one year experience performing radiologic exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and explains procedure in lay terms.
• Performs radiographic exams according to standards and SOPs.
• Positions patient and adjusts immobilization devices; operates x-ray equipment.
• Maintains imaging records, labels films, and logs exams.
