Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
• New York State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience performing radiologic exams.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and relays information in lay terms.
• Performs radiologic exams according to standards and SOPs.
• Positions patient and adjusts immobilization devices as needed.
• Monitors patient condition and reports concerns to Radiologist.
• Enters exam data in the requisition and daily log; labels images with right/left and date.
• Operates equipment and transfers images to film/archival media.
