Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate x-ray and related equipment, prepare patients for examinations, and ensure proper documentation and labeling of images. The role requires licensure in NY/CT, ARRT registration, and at least 1 year of radiologic experience.

You will work under radiologist supervision, maintaining image quality and patient safety while adhering to division procedures and daily logs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program is required.
• New York State and/or Connecticut Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist is required.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration is required.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience performing radiologic exams is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patient for exam and explains procedure in layman's terms as appropriate.
• Performs x-ray exams according to established standards and SOPs; positions patient and adjusts immobilization devices.
• Monitors patient condition during procedures and reports safety concerns to Radiologist.
• Labels films, records exams, and ensures correct right/left marking and patient identification.
