Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Diagnostic Technologist to prepare patients and perform routine radiographic procedures under physician orders. You will produce high quality images and present them for radiologist interpretation while supporting safety and patient care standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating with teams, maintaining image management systems, and contributing to performance improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered or registry-eligible in Radiologic Technology; must pass if eligible within 1 year.
• Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License required for outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.
• Three years relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiology examinations with orders and histories to ensure appropriateness.
• Performs radiology examinations on all ages and maintains competency.
• Adheres to policies to ensure quality care and operations.
• Maintains safe environment and radiation safety practices.
• Interacts with students and supports cross-training programs.
• Maintains inventory and documents data for billing and records.
