Job summary

The role requires ARRT certification or registry-eligibility, a two-year Radiologic Technology program, and a Virginia state license, with AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers. Experience preferred. MRI associates require additional screening.

Qualifications

• ARRT registered or registry-eligible in Radiologic Technology (within one year if hire).
• Completion of accredited two-year Radiologic Technology program or equivalent.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License is required for outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiology examinations by confirming orders and verifying identities.
• Performs radiology examinations across age groups and maintains competency.
• Adheres to departmental policies to ensure quality patient care and safe operations.
• Maintains a safe environment for patients and staff and supports safety programs.
• Demonstrates knowledge of diagnostic imaging services and equipment.
