Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare is seeking a Diagnostic/CT Technologist to prepare patients and perform radiographic and CT examinations in accordance with physician orders and the procedure manual. The Radiologic Technologist will produce high-quality images and present them with pertinent data for timely radiologist interpretation.

Responsibilities include verifying orders, preparing patients of all ages, maintaining safety standards, and assisting in study administration and contrast agent

Qualifications

• Completion of accredited two-year program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent.
• ARRT registered in Radiologic Technology with documented training on the provision of diagnostic CT exams required OR cross-training program.
• Advanced level certification by the ARRT or NMTCB in computed tomography required within one year of hire date.
• VA State Radiologic Technologist License is required for all outpatient facilities.
• American Heart Association CPR required.
• Six months relevant experience required; three years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for radiology and CT examinations by confirming physicians’ orders and verifying identities.
• Performs radiology/CT examinations on all patient age groups with competency evidence.
• Provides support in transporting patients as required.
• Adheres to departmental policies and quality patient care standards.
• Maintains knowledge of Diagnostic/CT Imaging services and safety practices.
• Greets patients and staff professionally and confidentially.
• Screens and transfers calls to facilitate Radiology communications.
• Maintains safe environment and radiation safety practices.
• Maintains and restocks supplies to ensure service continuity.
• Documents patient and procedure data for accurate billing and records.
